Five Manes Horsemanship

Five manes horsemanship  was established at the conception of cowboy challenge in New Zealand and has run numerous training days.. cowboy challenges and clinics.  With an old woolshed for group gatherings it is known as a favorite place to come. Set on a South Canterbury lifestyle property inland from Temuka the property has a permanent cowboy challenge course through a small Gully which incorporates many Banks  bridges and also has an arena.   Hosts Sara and Garry Roberts love sharing their property and over the years have seen an amazing growth in horsemanship and have established many friendships.

Falling Creek Ranch is a working farm that buys in weaner calves in the spring and takes them through to 15-20 months old and we have a large string of horses including the brood mares and foals (50+, we’ve lost count!).  We muster the cattle in on our camps, and often ride through the brood mares and foals or older foals paddocks on treks, lessons and camps.

We offer treks, riding lessons, adult social rides, horse riding camps, hoof trimming, starting/breaking in horses, reschooling, float training, QH/Appaloosa stud, even birthday parties and can tailor a package to suit you and your requirements.

Located in Beautiful Pleasant Valley just out of Geraldine, PVCC has been hosting Points approved CC's and training days for over 5 years. Owners Pete and Jo enjoy being able to host events and love the social side. We are proud to be able to support the youth of the sport through the scholarship. After a very wet winter we have had to put our normal October CC on hold but watch our FB page we will get some trainings and another date sorted for the 2025-26 season.

Sheffield Cowboy Challengers offers a training ground with a range of Cowboy Challenge obstacles. Points Approved Challenges and Training days are held throughout the year and private lessons are available. The main focus of training is based on helping both rider and horse become confident and relaxed using obstacles and teach ground skills to achieve success.
